The most important things to consider before honing using a horizontal honing machine is the centre height alignment of the job to the rotating spindle , since the component is not free to rotate , we are supposed to centre the job centre to the spindle centre height based on the manufacturer recommendation or centre height specified by the manufacturer.
Although most manufacturers provide th centre height , it's very easy that the operator can miss this and tend to set the component wrongly . hence before starting any job always make sure the centre alignment is done properly.
