We all know that the honing operations most desired result is a Cross Hatch angle and Surface finish , today we had a customer requirement where in the customer wanted a very rough bore for the 75 % of the length and finer Ra value for 25% of the length , however the same was achieved using 2 different grit of stones.
Generally all our customers are asking for finer finish for which we had maintained fine finish stones , however it was a learning for us as well that there are certain industries which demand very rough finishes close to 100 Microinches.
